Mädesüßkraut (Filipendula ulmaria), auch bekannt als Echtes Mädesüß oder Wiesenkönigin, ist eine beeindruckend hohe Staude mit duftenden, cremefarbenen Blüten, die vor allem an feuchten Wiesen und Bachuferstandorten wächst. Reich an Salicylsäure‑ähnlichen Verbindungen, Flavonoiden, ätherischen Ölen und Gerbstoffen, bietet es schweiß- und harntreibende, fiebersenkende, entzündungshemmende sowie schmerzlindernde Effekte.
